Guided trips are a great way to learn our sport or new river. We offer a complete range of experiences for anglers of every possible level. Equipment is available. At Rocking L Fly Fishing, we use only the best! Lodging and accommodations are available on request. Our wade trips can be made to the full range of waters. Whether sneaking up on Brook Trout on one of our private streams, wade fishing for smallmouth, enjoying the fast action of delayed harvest waters, hatchery supported waters, or stalking giants on tailwaters, there is a wade trip to satisfy any angler. Some of the waters we wade fish routinely are the South Holston River, Watauga River, Toe River, Tuckasegee River, French Broad River, Helton Creek and Cane Creek. Float trips for trout are usually conducted on the South Holston, Tuckasegee or Watauga, while trips for smallmouth are usually on the French Broad, Holston or Toe River. Rocking L Trophy Trout trips are wade trips on a pristine Western North Carolina trophy stream. You will not find a prettier place or better fish anywhere! Our trophy waters are full of over 24" fish. Beautiful water in a beautiful place, lots of fish, a lot of big fish, easy access, clean environment, and ample casting room define the trophy trout experience. Limited memberships are available. Brook Trout Trips are on our private streams. This greatly improves the experience as brook trout streams are small. One or two other anglers on the same stream can make a day chasing our native Appalachian trout very frustrating. Enjoy having a stream all to yourself. Weekender Trips are another Rocking L first. These trips are discounted for fishermen who want to spend two consecutive days fishing. All weekender trips are for two anglers. Weekender trips are any two consecutive days, not just Saturday and Sunday. We can even fish two different rivers if desired. Scout Trips are something unique to Rocking L Fly Fishing. They are designed for experienced anglers only. Get a group (up to 10) of buddies or your local TU chapter together. One of our guides will meet your group at a pre-determined location. You will spend the day learning where to get on the river, what to fish with, how to fish, and fish all the while! This is a great value for groups and clubs that are searching for new water and the savings found in group travel.
